Dr. Judy McFarlen
I have been with the Wainwright office since April 2011. I have a wide range of experience, having matured in veterinary medicine for over 25 years. I have extensive small animal experience including exotics and am comfortable with all types of medical and surgical cases.
My special interest is in ultrasound. Most of my ultrasound experience and training was in NJ. I worked for Sound Technologies as a mobile pet sonographer and consultant for over 6 years. After consulting on 60-80 cases per week for 6 years, I have seen a lot. I decided to leave the road warrior life to spend more time with family.
I feel honored to be a veterinarian and still love my life’s work even after all these years. In fact, the longer I am in this profession, the more I enjoy the path. My husband and I also have a family farm in the Coronation area. I have one daughter and our rescue dog Autumn.
Veterinary Nurses (Technicians) & Reception/Office Management
I have been at the Wainwright Veterinary Clinic since 2011.
I grew up on a grain and cattle farm in the Melville, Saskatchewan. I spend my youth years raising baby pigs, chickens, raccoons, calves, ducks, bunnies, dogs, cat and much more. I always knew that being involved with Vet medicine was my dream job.
I live in Mannville currently and the people at work call my collection of pets "The Harrick Funny Farm". This includes 3 dogs, 3 cats, a guinea pig, 2 rabbits and a ferret. I have taken care of so many orphan kittens over the years, I hesitate to count them.
What the staff says about her:
"Kaylyn always brings a smile and great sense of humor to work every day. She has a strong will to fight for the animals that have a small chance of surviving. We all admire her dedication!"
